Celebrating a milestone

At the inception of Hub Property Group, a small team of four people set out on a strategy retreat to conclude our five-year goals, BHAG’s and aspirations for the business.

We hired a home on a farm and set to work for a couple of days without distraction. We concluded many strategies and measurable targets during that retreat but one, in particular, resonated with me due to the bold number.

We decided that within 5 years we wanted to have a $1 billion pipeline of projects in delivery, a target that was seen to be a stretch at the time. We concluded that when we hit this lofty target, we would have a $1 billion Party to celebrate with the team.

We laughed about it and planned out the day-to-day actions we needed to achieve this.

Fast track 4 years, and this goal became a reality, even with all the market downturns, economic headwinds and the Covid-19 pandemic, which made the celebration of our $1 billion Party even sweeter.
